Changes to Free School Meals

Dear Parent / Carers 
 
I’m writing to inform you of a change to our planned provision of Free School Meals. The change is a result of a Bristol City-wide directive to move to a voucher scheme rather than the previous hamper scheme. We are in agreement with Bristol City Council and our PFI partners that a voucher scheme will be a safer and more sustainable way of ensuring that families are supported. We also believe that vouchers will be more convenient for you. 
 
The details regarding the voucher scheme will be confirmed early next week. As soon as these details are known to us, they will be passed on to you. So far we do know that the vouchers will be issued on a multi-week basis and that they will be available after Tuesday 31st March. This means that we will no longer be running the planned second week of hamper distribution on Monday 30th March. 
 
We thank you for your continued support at this difficult time. I also know that we are asking for a great deal of flexibility from you, and that this can be difficult. This is an ever changing situation so your flexibility is greatly appreciated. Please contact the school if you have any questions or concerns about this. Our priority is to keep our community safe and ensuring its welfare as best as we can.
