Blaise High School Student Leadership Team
Head Students
Hi, I’m Evie. Throughout my school years, I have represented Blaise in Netball fixtures, swimming galas, student enterprise and completed a Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. One of my favourite parts of being Head Student is being able to interact with many different people, and see what is important to them. My aspirations for the future are to pursue a career in Science.
Hi, I’m Thomas. I am currently working towards my Duke of Edinburgh silver award. My favourite subject is Art, and I am striving to attend a great university to study and become an Engineer. My favourite part of being Head Student is doing my duties as I get to interact with many different students and just being a part of the Blaise community.
Hi, I’m Claudia. I’ve represented Blaise in many different activities and extracurricular events such as Duke of Edinburgh, Ten Tors, Young Enterprise and in school events such as the school production. I hold great aspirations to attend university and become an architect. My favourite part of being Head Student is being part of the process of making changes to our community.
Deputy Head Students
Awesome, Eden and Andrea
Heads of House and Deputy Heads of House
Sarah (Deputy Head), Elena (Head) and Naitik (Deputy Head)
We are proud to be part of the house that embodies pride: Everest. This role has helped us build confidence and teamwork from helping with activities like house rounders where we got to cheer and support for our house and hopefully become a role model for the younger years. This role has also meant that we have gained leadership experience and a stronger desire to improve not only ourselves but also the school. We look forward to more fun and exciting events where we get to encourage and inspire all students of this school.
Shihab (Deputy Head), Ewa (Head) and Josephine (Deputy Head)
Being part of student leadership in Year 10 as the Heads and Deputy Heads of Kilimanjaro has been an experience we are genuinely enjoying. We’ve each grown into our roles and found joy in the responsibilities that come with them. Whether it’s writing enrichment reports or delivering the Thought of the Day, we’ve loved how these tasks open up real conversations with younger year groups. It’s given us the chance to get to know them better, hear their views, and build a stronger sense of community across the school. We are proud of how far we’ve come and excited about what we can still achieve as a team at Blaise High School.
Laila (Deputy Head) and Ella (Head)
As Heads and Deputy Heads of Elbrus, we are proud to be part of a team that makes a difference in our school community. We recognise and reward good behaviour, host Fun Fridays to bring everyone together, and strive to create a happy and comfortable environment for all students.
Prefects
Johns, Alexis, Zoe, Shawn and Megan
We are all honoured to have the opportunity to represent our peers and the younger years as prefects, because it allows us to assist and engage with every student in meaningful ways to help and support them with anything we can. It's a fantastic opportunity for continuous learning and improvement in our capabilities not only as a team but also as individuals. It opens up many opportunities to help us towards climbing our own mountains, making positive impacts to the school community, improving the way we communicate with one another, as well as ensuring each person is treated with respect. Being a prefect allows us to develop key skills such as confidence, teamwork, and accountability through tasks like supporting younger students and assisting staff with attendance stamps, Fun Fridays, and ‘thought of the day’. To us, being a student leader is about leading by example and upholding the core values of Blaise High School.
