Attendance
Students with excellent attendance are in the best position to achieve the top grades in their GCSEs. 100% attendance: Evidence shows that students are 2 times more likely to achieve at least 5 GCSEs (at grades 9-4), than students who have 80% attendance.
Holiday school
Each holiday, teachers run additional lessons to support students with improving knowledge and revision techniques to maximise their exam performance.
Results day
Students can collect their GCSE results on 22nd August 2024.
We will of course contact parents with further details on all of the above closer to the time.
Revision Strategies
In addition to subject homework, students should complete at least 1 hour of revision per night. We recommend the following revision strategies.
-
Flashcard revision (using flashcards)
-
Cornell Notes (using your practice book)
-
Self-Quizzing (using your practice book)
-
Past Paper Questions (from Final Ascent)
The video below shows how to use these strategies effectively.
